Diego does his Wicked Witch impersonation after painting.

Moises shows Valerie how to have the proper wrist motion for painting while Diego and Jazmin finish up the back of the loft

Don and Henry try to figure out how the oven goes in.

Lori cuts the perfect piece.

Henry chastises Lori for not installing the flooring fast enough.

Don "screws up" on the cabinet and counter top.

Don, what's so interesting in there?

Here's both the California(green shirts) and Pennsylvania(maroon shirts) teams together.

Gordy and Don install some window trimming.

Henry makes a minor adjustment to get the perfect fit.

Cobi works on measuring the gable ends for hardiboard.

Servants team

Our California friends!

Cheri celebrated her birthday with us this year! Happy birthday Cheri.
Look at those hams!

Thursday is the last day for the Servants team in Mississippi. Most of the jobs were completed or nearly completed, ending a shortened week successfully. We made new friendships and continued existing friendships while we were here. We helped others and spread God's Word through our actions and deeds. We had to remain flexible at times, but all in all it was a very good week!!!

We leave bright and early in the morning for our return trip home. You will see us all on Saturday!

Rain Rain Go Away....

Gordy & Don have been working on some really unique kitchen cabinet repairs. They have been there every day & it looks like tomorrow will be no exception.
Henry & Lori started the laminate floor at Gordy's job. They will finish that floor tomorrow.

Does anyone remember what happened when Gordy & Don worked on a cabinet similar to this one?
They put the top on & couldn't get the drawers out of it.
It rained really hard over night & into the morning so several of us had to go to Camp Faith & help with the projects that Chloe's team was working on. Here are some pics from our day.
Jonathon did a balancing act as he caulked the wall going up to the balcony. That ladder was 12' tall.
Diego (center) did this little mural while we were painting today...we hated to paint over it.

Zoom in closely & look at Tom's expression. I think he may have a toothache and he is considering drilling it. Good luck with that Tom! Dorene is in the closet taping and mudding. This was her 1st attempt and I have donned her the "Queen Mudder".
Moises tried his hand at mudding also.  He was actually pretty good, so he may have that job again tomorrow. At least he is smiling

Is anyone tired of painting yet???? Maybe the guy with the paint in his hair, laying down to paint, has had enough for one day.
Roll em, Roll em, Roll em..
End of a Perfect Day .... after dinner out with Stan & Jennie (camp hosts) and the CA team, we all settled down to work on the community puzzle and the kids hung out on the sofa!

TERRIFIC TUESDAY

Bette, Lois & Deb have been cooking for the teams all week. They also have been doing the chores for us like cleaning the bathrooms & taking out the trash. We are all very thankful for them!

Chloe is the team leader on the Camp Faith project. They were insulating & trimming the well house.  They are also sanding drywall, primimg and painting in the resource distribution center.
Chloe worked these kids so hard that they had to take a nap after lunch before they were able to work again. By the way it is 9:45 PM & all the boys& some of the girls are outside playing basketball...no wonder they are tired during the day.

Diego......where are you aiming that hammer????
Dorene has added many need skills to her resume this week. Here she is using the elec shears on the hardie board siding.
How many guys does it take to hold up this "cement", Hardie Board siding so I can nail it??Really.. each 4x8 sheet weighs 55 lbs. We installed approx 25 sheets already & tomorrow we will tackle the gable ends and hopefully start the soffit & fascia.

"Lunch break" ... these young folks deserved it.
Hey Lori.....hurry up & mark that Hardi Board...
Here is Henry under the mountain of insulation falling down from the ceiling...... below is Henry pointing and saying, "did I do that"?     Henry I hope your mouth was shut.

Charlie & Gregory spent several hours trying to remove the plywood & insulation after Henry left with Bill to install a knee wall at another property.

The two shades of blue on these guiys shirts is sweat. Poor Charlie he will be sweating again tomorrow as well.
Our homeowner Mr. Robinson shared a secret with us today......look closely, he has 6 toes of each feet.
